Sparking Student Motivation: A Special Song

Hello friends!  I am up extra early on my first official day of summer...I wish my body would know it needs sleep!  I am excited to be done, but I am having trouble turning my brain off.  Anyone else have these problems???

Today, I am linking up with Joanne from Head Over Heals for Teaching, for her Sparking Student Motivation.

On the last day of school, we had a moving up assembly.  We count down to summer, the students get pins for honor roll and high honor roll, our school mascot comes out, the students are screaming, the teachers have given up.  It is chaos, but fun!  This year one of the teacher assistants challenged one of the music teachers to make a parody of the song Let it Go.  Well, she took the challenge full on and invited some of us to act it out!  The students went WILD.  It was a lot of fun!  Check out our video!

  1. The kids giggling is my favorite part! Cute! I see the capes!!!!!!!
    Rockin' and Lovin' Learnin'

  2. What a fun way to end the school year - kuddos to Vicki to writing that :)

Are you wearing a shirt with a cape on it? How cute! "I Teach...what's your SuperPower," I assume? :)

  3. That is the coolest thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Mixing it up in Middle

  4. The kids loved it! They enjoy seeing their teachers act silly! Definitely an event they will long remember! Thanks for sharing and linking up Rosie! Happy Summer!
