Monday Made It: Vegas Binder

Hello Blogging Friends!!!!  I hope you are enjoying this fabulous day!!  I made it though my first day of summer academy!  It went well...we have lots of kids under the age of six which makes life fun!  I am excited to link up with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for her Monday Made It!

I am excited to be attending the Teachers Pay Teachers conference next week.  I am most looking forward to the people I am going to be and the information I am going to gain to advance my store.  I don't have a huge store and I would like to grow it, but I feel I am lacking some key tools.  I am hoping to have a fun filled couple of days!

Teachers Pay Teachers had each presenter post their handouts on their website as a free download.  I went ahead and downloaded all of the handouts, even though I am not attending all of the sessions.  There is great information in each of the handouts, plus I might meet some one who I can copy their notes!  In order to organize everything, I made myself a Las Vegas binder, complete with a fun cover!

Inside is my flight info and airport parking info, plus all of the handouts organized!

I used sticky notes as tabs for the sessions I am attending!

I plan on adding a pencil case or bag to put business cards and pens in.  I know this is dorky, but it is the best way I could organize.  Also, I will now have all of this years conference info in one place!

Five for Friday...Saturday Edition!

Happy Saturday Blogging Friends!  I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for their Five for Friday, but I am posting on Saturday!!!

My sister, Rebecca, is in from The Netherlands for a visit for a week.  We have spent most of the time shopping and eating!  She says the shopping is not as good in The Netherlands so she prefers to shop in the states.  We have been to Old Navy everyday...I think they may know us by name now!!  

Yesterday was my birthday!  I hope some of you were able to grab my all day freebie on my Facebook Page.  (If you are have not liked my Facebook page yet...clip the button on the side and like me!  I often post flash freebies and other fun stuff there!)  I was able to celebrate my birthday with some friends at the Culinary Institute of America's Apple Pie Bakery Cafe.  It was amazing! This was my birthday dessert! It was a Lemon Tart and the reason why I chose it was because it was in a tin!

My best friend had a baby!!!!  My best friend Kate and her husband welcomed Reilly Dean into the world this morning.  He was a month early, but is doing wonderful!  I am so excited because Reilly and I am going to be birthday buddies!!!  He decided that June was a better month to have his birthday then July and he wanted to be able to celebrate it with his Aunt Rosie!  I am so thrilled and I cannot wait to meet this little guy!

Monday Made It: Interactive Notebooks

Happy Monday Friends!  It is my first official day of summer vacation and I am loving it!  I have been to the dentist, ran a few errands, took a nap, caught up on some DVR, finished another product and I am about to clean my room!  It has been a fantastic day!  I am linking up with Tara from Fourth Grade Frolics for her Monday Made It because I made something!!!!

I have been a creating machine!  I had not made a new TpT product in I don't know how long, but in the past two days I made two!!!!  I am pretty proud of myself because I didn't just start one and not finish it...I actually finished it!  My two products are both interactive notebooks for science one is on the Circulatory System and the other is on the Respiratory System.  I am excited to use these next year in my science class.  Check them out by clicking on the image below! Sparking Student Motivation: A Special Song

Hello friends!  I am up extra early on my first official day of summer...I wish my body would know it needs sleep!  I am excited to be done, but I am having trouble turning my brain off.  Anyone else have these problems???

Today, I am linking up with Joanne from Head Over Heals for Teaching, for her Sparking Student Motivation.

On the last day of school, we had a moving up assembly.  We count down to summer, the students get pins for honor roll and high honor roll, our school mascot comes out, the students are screaming, the teachers have given up.  It is chaos, but fun!  This year one of the teacher assistants challenged one of the music teachers to make a parody of the song Let it Go.  Well, she took the challenge full on and invited some of us to act it out!  The students went WILD.  It was a lot of fun!  Check out our video!

Wordless Wednesday: Last Day of School Attire

Today day was the day...It was my LAST day with students!!  I was sad to see them go because I grew very fond of this class, but I am tired!
