Tried It Tuesday: Book of Awesome Tasks

It has been a while since I have sat down and blogged.  I wish I had more time to blog.  Life is a bit crazy and I am praying about some new adventures in life.  Praying for guidance and direction in life!  I am so thankful for my wonderful blogging buddies.  You are all a true inspiration to me and have made me want to be a better teacher.  So, I am back today to link up with one of my inspiring blogging buddies, Holly, from Fourth Grade Flipper for her Tried it Tuesday.

A while ago I was part of Nick from Sweet Rhyme-Pure Reason's giveaway.  As a thank you I was given the opportunity to choose an item from his store (if you have not checked out his store...you must!).  I took my time and looked at EVERYTHING and finally choose his Book of Awesome Tasks.  It looked like a perfect activity for my students during our big testing week!  Boy was it a good choice because my students LOVED it!

Here is the TpT description: This pack allows you to print a book of 45 engaging activities for kids to use as brain breaks, during indoor recess, or when they are fast finishers!

The activities are highly engaging, call upon students' creativity, and have educational value while seeming like simple fun. This book could be kept in students' desks or mailboxes until they finish work early, or pulled out whenever the teacher feels the class needs a brain break!

Purposefully created so that kids of all ages can complete the activities!

Here are some pictures from my kids' books:

Some of the other pages include: drawing yourself as a lego person, writing note to your teacher and hiding it on her desk and covering a page completely with crayons.  My students were engaged and enjoyed each and every page.  It was a perfect stress relief after they finished their test.  Most of them have not finished their books yet and still pull it out for fun when they have a few minutes.  If you are heading into big tests or just want something fun for the end of the year...check out Nick's Book of Awesome Tasks.

Sweet Rhyme & Pure Reason

Well folks I am off for today!  Only two more days and then my short Spring Break!  Have a great afternoon!

I found this very neat linky party hosted by Sugar and Spice.

What type of pencil sharpener do you use in your classroom?
